Background:

Once meant to be the next prodigy knight, Soot had his wings injured by a corruption beast and is no longer able to fly. He joined the Defenders of Justice as a sort of coping mechanism, but it isn't going well. He's become bitter about his fate and lashes out at those who want to help him. Kor takes him under his wing, for no Defender is meant to fight alone. In the end, Soot becomes a guard in the royal castle. Despite him being unable to use his wings, the queens trust him with the position, which is a giant confident boost for the fallen knight.
