Lunerest was going through dark times. The knights were stretched thin across the land, looking for clues about the crisis while their hands were full trying to defend the various settlements. The future looked bleak despite the Queens’ valiant attempts at rallying morale. Reluctantly, most of Lunerest’s population had withdrawn to its capital city, where the knights could focus their efforts on defense. The night was long and deep outside of Moonreach’s d...

Aeon and Soma were both knight companions and also very good friends outside of work. While Aeon was highly curious and often dashed out to investigate unusual happenings immediately, Soma was much more patient and detail-oriented. He often had to rein in Aeon’s impulsive nature and encourage him to take things one step at a time. The difference in their attitude became much more obvious as Lunerest endured its first crisis in many years - Aeon spent most of h...

Limekiln worked tirelessly over a few days to craft an enchanted core for Saiph’s catalytic staff. Installing the magical heart into the staff itself required both of them to work together for another few days. Saiph had made his staff when he was a young knight, and continued to add various enchantments over the years. As the number of parts grew, it became too heavy to hold, so he learned how to create small pocket dimensions to reduce its external weight. H...

Saiph and Azrael frequently traveled outside of Lunerest to explore other dimensions. Their long lives granted them much more time to see the world, and they had journeyed through all of Lunerest many years ago. Visiting other worlds allowed them to continue their quest for knowledge, though they would return once in a while to catch up on recent happenings in their homeworld. They both held the rank of specialized Knights, but the era of their active service ha...

Part of Saiph’s duty as a Lullay Knight Mender was the upkeep of protective wards and other knights’ equipment. Since his hometown was somewhat close to the Corrupted Lands, they faced somewhat frequent incursions by corruption creatures and the occasional small Beast. There was always something around town that needed fixing, and he rarely found himself idle for long. Today, he began his work routine by patrollin...

After completing his basic Lullay Knight training, Saiph had to pick a specialization path to further hone his skills. While ■■■■■ decided on his specialization without hesitation, Saiph had to think. He knew that his own interest in spellcasting lay outside the skillset of a Knight, so he had to base his choice on more practical factors. Which path would let him help his best friend more effectively? It was a close call. To mend or to heal? He felt th...

A Knight’s life is never idle – this was true no matter where said knight was stationed. Saiph and ■■■■■ grew up in a small town between Wingfell and Valorise, which served as a waypoint for travelers between the bigger cities. The hamlet was clustered around the main thoroughfare, and the inn also served as the town hall. Given the relative proximity of the Corrupted Lands, a contingency of knights had been stationed here since its founding, and t...

Saiph had a natural interest and affinity for spellcasting since he was a young Moxyn. When he enrolled in the Lullay Knights training program, he was given access to the knights’ library of restorative spells and potion recipes. He dove into his studies with great enthusiasm, not out of a desire to become the best Lullay Knight, but simply because he wanted to expand his repertoire.  Early on in his studies, his m...

It was another ordinary day of knight training for Saiph. He was studying to become a Lullay Knight, which meant learning all sorts of restorative and repairing magic. His best friend joined the Royal Knight ranks instead, so they rarely got to see each other during working days. At first, he often felt lonely without ■■■■■ by his side, but his natural curiosity soon made him be engrossed in his studies. The day often went by in a flash while he studie...

A strange uncanny darkness had fallen over Quietphase Lake. While the shroud of shadow covered only a comparatively small area, it was blocking out all the moonlight and causing the nearby plants to wither. Magical fauna also started avoiding the shadowed zone – any creature that remained in the darkness soon disappeared without a trace. The knights stationed nearby were immediately dispatched to investigate. They suspected the involvement of a Corruption Beas...

A few years had passed since Saiph and ■■■■■ enrolled as trainee knights. While they pursued different knight paths, they always spent their time together as much as possible, supporting each other’s work. Over time, their diligence paid off, and they were acknowledged as one of the best trainees in their hometown. Now that they had completed their basic knight training, it was time for them to choose a specialization and hone their skills even furth...

Saiph and ■■■■■ lived in a small hamlet between Wingfell and Valorise, which served as a rest stop for travelers between the bigger cities. Since the Corrupted Lands were to the northeast of town, a small contingent of knights were stationed here permanently. As a result, the young xyns that lived around the area would either inherit their family’s profession, or train to become knights and protect their home. There was no profession for either Saiph...

“I don’t need armour.” ■■■■■ hissed in a low disgruntled voice and slunk out of the gathering hall. Saiph quickly apologized to the bemused instructor and ran after him. He was an exceedingly hardworking student, yet his stubbornness was almost equally excessive; once he set his mind on a task or a way of doing things, it was nigh impossible to change his mind. This caused him to butt heads with not on...

On the outskirts of Quitephase Lake, towards the Frosttouched Pines, was a small town where Saiph and ■■■■■ lived. It was originally set up by travelers between Wingfell and Valorise as a rest stop, and gradually grew into a hamlet large enough to warrant a small dispatch of knights. For the few xynlets that lived in town, the knights were often seen as role models. The Corrupted Lands were northeast of the town, after all. ...
